The mission of TeachTheFuture Foundation is to provide education to those in impoverished areas around the world by building them schools. Our first project was to build a high school in Kenya, Africa. Education is the single most effective way of reducing poverty and all other problems found in third world countries. This is due to the dual effect that education has. With the proper education a child can become a doctor, lawyer, or engineer with the potential to give back to their community. This potential, that each child possesses, is what motivates us to help the kids lead their own lives. In fact, the root of education is the Latin word educere which means "to lead". And as John Dewey once said, "Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself."
